Volunteer

Our volunteers are both the backbone and the public face of AFRIL as they work behind-the-scenes and face-to-face with our service-users and their families.

Why become a volunteer with AFRIL?

Whether you want to learn something new or enhance your current skills, volunteering provides a satisfaction you won’t find in many other roles. Becoming a volunteer with AFRIL helps you to give something back to the community, as well as meeting new people and taking a break from your busy lifestyle.

At AFRIL we appreciate every one of our volunteers and support them in any way we can. They help to provide a valuable service to both our refugees and the Lewisham community.

We encourage all of our volunteers to develop whichever skills they’re looking to improve, as well as attend some of our many incredible events.

Volunteer stories

The energy, passion, skill and dedication of each of our volunteers is amazing. We are so lucky to have such a diverse, energetic and skilled group of individuals who share our objectives and want to make a difference.
