AFRIL in collaboration with the Salvation Army is holding a weekly Talk Shop for anybody wanting to develop their english language skills. Exercises include small groups of students reading out loud, one paragraph at a time. This not only practices their reading and pronounciation but also improves their comprehension of what it is they have read. Students are also taught by an experienced english teacher, who uses a variety of fun and stimulating language exercises to learn new words and sentences. Entry is free and light refreshments such as tea, fruits and biscuits are provided. The sessions take place every Monday from 12pm-2pm at The Salvation Army 3-11 Albion Way, Lewisham SE13 6BT.
