It’s lovely to write with good news – especially at the start of Refugee Week!
With 1 day to go, we made our Big Summer Give target to fund AFRIL’s Food Bank and Allotment of Refuge!
£7,500 of generous donations will now be matched by our wonderful pledgers and The Childhood Trust. Combined with gift aid, this means that together we have raised a whopping £16,013 to support refugee and vulnerable migrant children in our community.

We know that everyone’s budgets are being squeezed at the moment and I’m so proud that we’ve been able to achieve this together.
The Childhood Trust announced yesterday that the campaign will be extended by a week to support those charities who haven’t yet made their target. This means that our campaign page will still be open for donations until noon on 28th June if you missed out and want to get involved. Please bear in mind though that donations over the target will not be matched, although gift aid can be claimed for UK taxpayers which increases the value of each donation by 25%.
