In celebration of Refugee Week, AFRIL is very excited to share “Remember The Child of Whom You Are”, a book created in partnership with Creating Ground who worked with parents at our Rainbow Club Supplementary School to explore the parents’ histories, cultures, and traditions that they will be passing down to their children. The title of the book comes from a Yoruba proverb shared by one of the parents, a reminder to never forget our heritage and families’ values.
A massive thank you to Creating Ground, to all the Rainbow Club parents and children who contributed to the book, and to The National Lottery Heritage Fund for supporting this project.
