We are taking part in the Big Summer Give to enable our Helping Hands Foodbank to support more asylum seeker, refugee, and destitute families over the long summer holidays.
We only have till 20th March to meet our deadline!
For asylum seeking, refugee, and destitute migrant families, summer can be a time of hunger, anxiety, and depression. Without free school meals, families who are already at breaking point struggle to feed themselves and their children. Away from school, and isolated by poverty, lack of English, and lack of social networks, they experience severe loneliness.
This summer, our Helping Hands Foodbank will be expanding our services to reach 30 families with 50 children to provide food, toiletries, household items and clothing.
We will run additional, child-friendly activities every Saturday to help children stay stimulated and engaged over the long summer holidays. Our advice outreach sessions will be there to support families to resolve their complex problems.
We are raising money for this through the Big Summer Give, where every donation up to £1,000 will be matched, doubling the value of each donation. Every penny counts, so if you are able to support us, please make a pledge below. No money will be taken from your account until we reach our target of £1,000 in pledges.
